Project Overview

Problem / before: The office den had a wall that could support much more storage, but the built-in had to work around real room constraints. French doors on one side still needed room to open, and an air vent near the ceiling meant the bookshelf could not run fully to the ceiling.

Work completed: A fully custom bookshelf was built from plywood with MDF doors. The finished unit is approximately 104 inches wide, 94 inches high, and 17 inches deep. The bookshelf was primed, sanded multiple times, and painted with a sprayer for a smoother cabinet-style finish.

Result: The office gained a large built-in storage and display wall while preserving door clearance and airflow at the ceiling vent.

Scope of Work

Built a custom bookshelf approximately 104” W x 94” H x 17” D
Used plywood for the main cabinet/bookshelf structure
